October 2024

Recording sessions for the new (as yet untitled) Red Orkestra album have begun. The band has been hard at work polishing up older tracks (that were supposed to be recorded in 2020) and arranging new tracks. A 2025 release is expected. More details will be provided as timeline become clearer.

July 2024

We’re gutted by the passing of our dear friend, Kevin Doyle. Kevin ran the legendary Boathouse in Kitchener Ontario, and was always a great supporter of Red Orkestra (and so many other local musicians). He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and by musicians from across Canada.

May 2018

Some shows have been announced, including the delayed album-release show for the new Red Orkestra record, “Day of the Dead”.

March 2018

The entire back catalogue of Red Orkestra albums is now available for purchase/streaming on Band Camp.

January 2017

Johnny’s back in the studio with producer Andy Magoffin working on a new acoustic album. The new record is reminiscent of 2011’s “All’s Well in Heaven and Hell”, with its stark imagery, sparse arrangements, and unique instrumentation. A 2017 release is planned.

The new Red Orkestra album, “Viva!”, is now available as a digital download/purchase via Bandcamp:

November 2016

The “Viva!” CD release show will be held at the Starlight Social Club in Waterloo on Saturday 3 December.

Doors at 7pm. Supporting act, Acquaintance, hits the stage at 8pm with the Red Orkestra taking the stage at 9pm.
